I'm currently taking an online course which requires a proctor for exams. What's the best way to find a proctor? Would the local librarian qualify as a proctor? Thanks for your help.

I normally go to British Council for such or try my local college lecturers to see if they can help.

The school usually will need to approve it, but your local librarian should work. Did the school give you any guidelines? Your local community college may have a testing center which would work, too.

    Go Salukis! :)

    Helping hand

Follow the schools guidelines, I’d be willing to help at no cost – send me a private message with your contact information. We can find way to make this work.

They don’t call me a Chief Learning Officer for nothing >>>>If you are currently in the role of learning leader in your organization — whether your title is chief learning officer, vice president of human resources, or training director — this program will help you gain the expertise needed to develop a culture of learning within your organization. The program is also appropriate for high potential professionals aspiring to be CLO or senior learning leader of their organization.

You might be able to locate a proctor though the LSU site:

Nearly every postsecondary school has a testing center. In my experience, more than 90% will administer exams for other schools. Of the 100-or-so in the US that I communicated with during the 9 years I was doing work for the Edinburgh Business School distance MBA, about 3/4 did not charge, 1/4 did.

Thanks guys for all the advice. I called the local community college and they provide proctoring services for state universities. I'll go with this route.

I used my local librarian as a proctor.
