    Pug,

How many FEMA credits did Bellevue accept from TESC? To what area were they assigned (I'm guessing general electives)?

    Thanks,
    Tom

I am still working on it with them, so I can't say for sure. The BU evaluators are a little confused at the moment. I'll let you know how it all turns out.

What I do know is that some of the FEMA credit, since it is part of the TESC associates degree, isn't counted as individual courses. The whole associates is counted as a block of 60 hours that "wipes out" BU core requirements. Any FEMA credit they accept above and beyond that which was used as part of the asociates will be free electives. The way BU works when transfering an associates into a BA program is this:

    1) The BA program is 127 hours
    2) The associates I am transferring in is worth 60 hours
    3) The major at Bellevue is 36 hours
    4) The required "other courses" at Bellevue is 9 hours
    5) All of that equals 105 hours, so the remaining 22 hours to get to the needed 127 are free electives. This is where any excess FEMA credit will be applied, I just don't know how much just yet. It is possible, though admittedly unlikely, that Bellevue could accept 49 FEMA hours (27 as part of the associates degree and 22 free electives).

That poses an interesting question for me Pug. I am going to try and finish all 17 hours from the backup courses so I wonder if I should even send them to TESC and send them to Bellevue after I finish the AAS from TESC. Of course this would raise the number of hours needed to complete the AAS. Or could TESC just take what is needed for the AAS and Bellevue apply the rest of the backup hours to their free electives? I guess it's not really up to me unless I just don't send them the North Idaho credits at all.

    Hi,

I asked them the same question and was told that I couldn't take the courses that had sensitive information. However, I was able to take the courses listed here and they sent me a list of the other courses that aren't listed on that page with price information. Let me know if you want me to forward it to you. I am almost done with the courses and will be requesting my transcript soon. :)
