Fed, State, Local Govts specify "Cisco" as qualified

    The FBI, State and Local Govts are ramping up their efforts to hire Speical Agents with MIS/CIS BS/BA OR Cisco qualifications.

    The SAIC's of major metro's are contacting Higher Ed institutions directly.

    Local Govts are being told matching DHS funds are contingent upon qualified IT staff - "qualified" being defined as Cisco certified, etc.

    Was this a news article?

    I know the FBI has been big on the Cisco certs.

    No - the FBI SAIC e-mailed the CIS dept. chair.

    Interesting, thank you for the information.

    I might have to contact some of the old profs at IU and Purdue (took PU CS classes at IUPUI) to see if they have any more information.
