I admit since Rachel's suggestion in her July 14, post regarding the possibilities of quesadillas being a Silver bullet against COVID in the 'Maggot Infested Hippies...' thread, I have been craving quesadillas. So... The Southern Virginia Branch of the Fout Family was out shopping today. Someone suggested a Cook Out fast food restaurant for lunch. I like Cook Out. Simple Americana Lunch and Dinner Fare. I was delighted when I looked up and seen quesadillas on the menu. I went with the Cheeseburger Quesadilla Combo, paired with an Orange Soda of course. This I can tell you: It was very nice!. No doubt the fare available to Bill Huffman and our other Southwesterners would simply blow it out of the water. That said, my craving was satisfied, and I will definitely be returning to Cook Out for a quesadilla or two.
I do not disagree. However, There is something special about getting that Carne Asada Burrito from a Taco Stand the size of a phone booth. I'm now also a fan of that LA innovation, the Korean Taco. My specific craving was the quesadillas this time. Now you have me thinking I need to fly out to Sand Dog just for some street food. I cannot imagine an East Coast Taco Truck getting it done like they do in Sand Diego. <3
Come to my next of the woods and your wish will be about half way granted. Then the problem becomes finding the good ones. I literally have started judging places by the quality of their carnitas.
