I'm sure they'll get it fixed very quickly but it reminded me of something from decades ago. Back in 1976 the FCC ceased offering a special endorsement on its radio telegraph operator licenses. This was the "Aircraft Radiotelegraph Endorsement ". All in-flight operations and weather information during overseas flights came via manual Morse. By the mid 1960s this was no longer the case.
