I'm currently considering pursuing a doctorate in leadership. I'd like to do it either online or in a hybrid format with less than 2 weeks of residency requirement per year. I've seen references to many different programs as I've searched these forums. I'm wondering if there is some criteria or checklist available to compare options. I work full-time as a system engineer, so the purpose of the degree is not to advance that career. I also do adjunct teaching, currently in an MBA program, on the ground and am looking to further those opportunities with idea that upon retirement I would like to teach more and consult/coach/mentor in the non-profit and potentially church arena. I have a particular interest in Appreciative Inquiry so would like to incorporate that into whatever I design for my dissertation. My undergrad degree is from Duke in History. My Master's Degree is in Library and Information Science from the University of Maryland.
