    Title,

I'm not 100% unfamiliar with coding/IT I do have a bachelors in IT but i'm a few years old and rusted. I currently have only 16 months of the GI Bill remaining to pay for a masters so could you please lend your held?

Looking for a master degree that teaches some form of coding oddly enough there's no full stack master degrees lol. I know a few basic coding languages, HTML, C+, dab in Java and currently teaching myself Python (planning to make a simple video game with it and post to GitHub).

I'm retired military with a crap ton of free time on my hands. I really don't have to work so the Master degree is for enlightenment and perhaps free-freelanced work that benefits other service members. I would like to use up the remaining of my GI bill without coming out of pocket.

I also hate papers if it can be avoided. The most recent program I've found to met these requirements i.e fast completion time, entry level type, minimal papers, early start time (i don't want to wait half a year to start) cost is Eastern Universities Master in Data Science which I just applied to on Sunday so I probably won't hear anything back till tomorrow. But I would like to keep my options open cause there's no guarantee that I would get in.

Thank you for reading and any assistance you can provide.

You seem to be looking for a masters degree focused on software development / software engineering. That is not the same as IT and is also not the same as Data Science. Those 3 areas are related and I agree there is some overlap but data science incorporates a lot of statistics concepts while IT deals more with systems. You might want to try out some free courses online to see if Data Science is really what you want.

My son is excellent at software development / coding and loves it but he cringes at the thought of studying data science concepts such as machine learning, NLP, etc.

These lists might help you. I don't know who compiles these lists but it is very reliable and updated frequently.

If you're in the US, WGU has Master's degrees in either Information Technology Management or (if you decide it's for you) Data Analytics. I don't know how much writing is in a WGU tech degree.
