For both personal enrichment and a potential pay increase (and resume enhancer) I enrolled in Penn Foster Career School's Spanish program today. Obviously, I haven't received my books yet, however, there are 2 pdf documents available in the online course section and, after having just glanced through one of them, I am very impressed. This first lesson in particular is in story form. You, the student, are an intelligence officer who just arrived in a tiny Western Carribbean island where the only language is Spanish. To some of you this may seem childrish, but I find that it makes for easy and enjoyable reading. Oh, and at $213.000 USD for all everything I think it's quite a deal.
I would be interested in hearing how you like the course. I took spanish for 4 years in high school, but don't remember much. One of my goals is to learn to speak the language again.
