The process was very streamlined. They wanted an application (application fee was waived), transcripts, and a resume. From there they selected 16 people for the January 2009 cohort in my area.

The process and requirements may vary depending on the location of the cohort. I know they have a couple areas in Virginia where they run the program. You would need to check with them to see when they plan on starting the next cohorts. The last cohort in my area started in 2005 and ended this year. I had to wait for the next cohort and wasn't entirely sure if they were going to run another one in my area.
