I'm creating a thread on doctoral-level certificates since these are harder to find. For teaching purposes, I'm not sure if these will have more value than graduate certificates.

Feel free to post any doctoral-level certificates you come across. They can either be post-master's or post-doctorate, but the credits must be at the doctoral level.

South College's 9-credit courses are...different. A Degree Forum member reported finishing nine doctoral courses in one term. It would be interesting to know whether they'll allow students to complete multiple programs in one term on just one $6,000 payment.

I guess I should add the warning that there's a rumor that SACSCOC will be reviewing South College's accreditation early because of the CBE programs. My guess is that they don't think the 9-credit courses meet their standards.

California Southern University's current graduate certificates each consist of a mix of 6000- and 7000-level courses, all coded PSY.

National University offers numerous Post-Master's Certificates using doctoral-level courses in subfields of business, public service, psychology, and marriage and family therapy, most or all inherited from Northcentral University.

Liberty University seems to offer a significant number of certificate programs and is less costly for tuition (especially if you are military/veteran @ 300 per course).

Any accredited $100 per credit hour graduate certificate/diploma programs?

There are some online UK Level 8 Certificates (ILM, CMI and the like); do these count, too?

How would a person utilize such PD certificate?
Will it allow one to expand their Doctoral discipline in the new directions?

my question is, are the certificates worth $6000 when you can get a graduate certificate from Ivy, near Ivy, or ranked university for a few thousand more ?

Consider that there are social circles in which a credential from Liberty University would take you further than one from any of the schools you're mentioning.

Sorry, I was mainly referring to South College. I live in a very profoundly red southern state. Liberty University and conservative values win the day here.

It's plausible that a doctoral level certificate, or the coursework within the certificate, might improve someone's chances of teaching at the graduate level in the field of that certificate if their doctorate is out-of-field. It's plausible that it could have some advantage over a graduate certificate built on master's-level courses.

How do other countries deal with gaining additional qualifications to teach college courses in a different subject?

Would be nice if they extended that to veteran spouse/children. ;)

Thank you for compiling this list. I tried looking for post-doctoral Cyberpsychology courses but couldn't find any. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Cyberpsychology programs are new to the U.S. So far, I've only seen a PhD, a few master's degrees, concentrations, and a bachelor's degree.

Cyberpsychology can go in multiple directions: educational psychology (how people learn online and via virtual reality), forensic psychology (cyber crime investigations or using online activities to profile and locate suspects), social psychology (how people interact on social media), clinical psychology (internet addiction and how online images trigger eating disorders), and human factors psychology (how humans interact with technology).
