Liberty program in content seems not bad but as being for-profit institution, I don’t know the value of their degree on the market. Choose wisely.

Liberty has been discussed extensively on this board. They're actually nonprofit: https://www.liberty.edu/online/nonprofit-online-university/

Alliant is actually a for-profit. Liberty has never been a for-profit, though I'll admit it operates a for-profit-like online division. Nonetheless, my Liberty Ph.D. worked for me. I obtained a tenure-track position though this was never my goal when I began my program.

Wow, two or three years to a dissertation doctorate? Is that really doable? Or is this not a dissertation degree?

Yes, it’s doable as you doing your dissertation at the same time you taking classes

Hey guys I want your opinion on this program I got the admission from.

Doctorate in Defense & Strategic Studies at Missouri State University in Washington D.C.
It is run by foreign policy experts and diplomats all at the highest level in their field. The program is heavily focused on Weapons of Mass Destruction, Arms Control, Diplomacy, Terrorism and Foreign policy. You can take classes online as well as on campus but there is a compulsory internship. I like the fact the program is in Washington D.C and has its own networks.

    What are your goals?
Do you already work in the national security or intelligence sector?
Are you comfortable with needing to explain what a DSS is for your entire career?

I’m working in the compliance field mainly trade compliance focusing on export control of nuclear and chemical materials. My goal is to work in arms control field including the importance of arms control compliance and diplomacy in regional peace. I think that if we able to enforce arms regulations through verification and cooperation, that can help reduce future treats and have a sustainable peace in critical regions such as the Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia and East Asia. I applied to this program because of the curriculum and the experts teaching the courses and I hope to be able to work in think thanks, international organizations and State and Defense Department but it is always good to seek for a second opinion

Does anyone have any experience or insight on this program?
I have a Masters in DSS from UTEP and looking to get into a doctorate program in the same or similar field.

Get to Washington as soon as you can and stay in Washington as long as you can.

I need help with this as well.

The only U.S.-based doctoral programs in law or related legal studies that don’t require a JD I found are:
    1. Liberty University — Doctor of Law and Policy
    2. Alliant International University — PhD in Psychology, Public Policy, and Law
    3. Walden University — PhD in Criminal Justice (Law and Justice Administration concentration)
    4. Northeastern University — Doctor of Law and Policy

    Any other programs?

The Ph.D. in Criminology, Law and Society offered by UC Irvine.

"The Criminology, Law and Society admissions committee considers every element of the application packet in order to evaluate the degree of fit between our program and the student’s goals, preparation for graduate study, and the likelihood of success in our program. We admit students whose undergraduate degrees are in a wide range of fields (including Criminology, Criminal Justice, English, History, Philosophy, etc.), but it is important for applicants to be pursuing a research career (whether in policy or academia) in Criminology, Law and Society."

That UC Berkeley Law program is interesting. Has to be done in residence though.

One very nice thing about the Berkeley program is that all Ph.D. students receive multi year funding. I should have applied twenty years ago.

On the other hand, it seems like you did passably, career-wise. ;-)
