Does anyone know of a program that transitions or converts DMin work toward a PhD? I would assume there would be additional work, sort of like the MA or MTS to MDiv programs that are out there.

Seems like something there'd be a good chance could be worked out individually with a religious school offering an appropriate PhD e.g., Kairos, Liberty, Johnson, Amridge?

Given that the standard prerequisite for a DMin is a 90 credit MDiv, I doubt that additional work would be needed save a research language in addition to Hebrew and Greek (i.e., Latin, German, or French). This is a good question and given that the programs tend to be the same length, including seminars, etc., a crossover pathway would seem worthwhile.

As it turns out, Martin Luther Christian University offers the aforementioned program via distance.
