    This thread generated a little interest, so I thought I would provide an update.

    Background (saves reading all the thread!) - My US based employer had offered partial sponsorship ($5000.00 per year) for my studying of a DL MBA on a sliding scale based upon grading as follows:

    A = 100%
    B = 80%
    C = 60%

    After receiving good advice here I contact my BS of choice; Henley Management College (UK), and they provided confirmation of the fact the a UK MBA is generally more difficult than a US based MBA (on which the sliding scale is based) and gave details of the average grade obtained at Henley - 53% (C).

    I put these finding into a report to my employee offering the facts only. I did not request an amendment to the scaling, only offered the information as a relevant indicator of expected result.

    My boss, a good man, took it on board and had my offer changed to the following:

    Partial sponsorship ($5000.00 per year) on a sliding scale based upon grading as follows:

    A = 100%
    B = 100%
    C = 80%

    It goes to show, gather the information, offer the facts objectively and sometimes it works out your way...

    Peace,

    Dave C.
