Looking for any intelligence out there on distance degrees in drama, theatre/stage, etc. I did a few cursory searches but didn't find anything overly exciting.

A good friend of mine is an actor, and is degreeless. Nevertheless, he has a large body of professional acting experience, and a portfolio assessment route would work well. I think TESC offers a BA with an area of study in Theater.

    Have I missed any others?

    Unixman,

Tell him to try Skidmore UWW (University Without Walls). The degree will read Independent Studies from a first tier Liberl Arts college.

It's pricey, but creative arts are kind of their specialty. In fact, in the brochure I have, they mention a stage actress who received her degree from them.

I've got a short list for Drama and Theater Studies.
    Central Queensland U
    Charles Sturt U
    Mary Baldwin College

    U of Wales-Aberystwyth
    Good luck,

Excelsior's liberal arts communications major has a theatre track. It's really a pretty good looking outline but doesn't concentrate on acting as much as a generalist view.

Try Rose Bruford College in London (http://www.bruford.ac.uk/). They offer distance learning courses leading to degrees from the University of Manchester.
