dissertations and editing

I think it is a good discussion to have on the definition of an editor. I had assumed that an editor is a specialist in english and writing, and reviews for writing style, proper citation format, grammatical errors, etc. He/she may say that "this paragraph could be moved here for a smoother introduction", etc. In no way is this academically dishonest.

The other "Specialist" - reviewing work and content - I didn't even realize were out there - as my advisor and my review committee are those people.
