I am interested in getting a realistic description of how long it takes for the "administrative wheels" to turn at the big 3, especially EC. I've nearly completed my BSLS degree requirements and am curious to know how long I can expect to wait to open my mailbox and find a diploma. EC admissions counselors and advisors give textbook, conservative estimates of this but, I think they are just trying to avoid negative fallout if they are incorrect. One of the reasons I am choosing EC is because COSC requires that whole concentration thing, which IMO is for the sole purpose of roping (via additional paperwork) students into an additional year of academic fees.
