I'm looking for an online Data Structures course in either c or c++, must be from an RA school. Hopefully it's not too late to take it for this fall. I found the Regis one, but I can't seem to find any else.
Excelsior has one, but it is in Java. I think TESC might have one in C . Athabasca has a testout option for one in Java, if you don't want to attend the class.
I'm currently enrolled in the Athabasca course and I don't know if I would recommend it. I've taken 3 other courses at Athabasca and they went well, but this one isn't that great. At the moment, based on the forum discussion it appears that only me and one other person are currently enrolled in version 4 (the newest version) of this course. My tutor is great, but the course is not easy and because there aren't any other students taking the course you don't really get any type of feedback, comments etc which makes it difficult to decide what is the best way to work on the assignments/projects. Unless you are already familiar and comfortable with data structures and alg I wouldn't recommend taking this course, let alone challenging it. Brandon
BTW, I don't know if the course at the University of Mass. requires a proctor. The TESC course requires 2 proctored exams but the exams are open-book. This is according to their online syllabus.
In case anyone is interested, Berkeley lets one download/stream the video lectures of their local Data Structures course. (They use Java as the programming language.)
Here is Troy University's catalog, which has a "Data Structures and Algorithms" course (in the compsci section ~ 7th course down) this term coming up. It may be too late to register for this term (term I, fall); however, their terms are two months. I don't know if they have recently increased their tuition (it was $150/credit hour). Hope this helps, BReady
