Data Science PhD at Universidad Loyola - Almost fully online

Hi Everyone

I have been following the forum for the last 1 year or so, and the posts about Eastern University were decisive to my decision to join the Data Science master there.

Now, I am looking for a completely online PhD option. I was already accepted at Florida Atlantic University (and I know we have a thread here about them as well), and despite the very low price tag, FAU is still pricy for a Brazilian guy. So my search is still on.

I found a PhD program in Data Science at Universidad Loyola. It is in Spanish (I can understand, but I can't talk or write - Portuguese and Spanish are very alike).

I would like to mention it here for others looking for options and get your opinion about it.

Part Time: 5 years (2.5K € per year)
Full Time: 3 years (3.1K € per year)

The only on-site visit is to defend the thesis.

I have been looking for a solid Ph.D in Data Science for a long time, and could not find any. Universidad Loyola's program seems to be solid, the bad thing the program is not in English. I don't speak Spanish...

 

Yes.. they seem solid (yet almost unknown outside Spain). They have Ph.D. grads since 2015, I think.
