I teach high school social studies and dual enrollment community college courses (US History & US Government) at the high school. I may have the chance to teach the same US History course at the community college this fall. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that enrollment is up.

Yea, I teach at a private school and we watch enrollment very carefully, as well.

I would open an ECE credit bank and try to locate cheap ACE courses that can give me some graduate credit.

You could also try to contact Sentined University and try to get graduate work based on working experience. They take up to 9 credits based on previous. Sentinel is DETC accredited but you can try transferring those courses to your ECE credit bank. I think it is possible and could be done within few weeks.
