    Thanks!

What happened to your signature line? Are you still pursuing a DBA through Argosy?

I am doing a bit of restructuring with it. Argosy is going still for now.

Restructuring is better than dropping. ;)

This DSc program is the 3rd doctoral program I have been in. And, it's the first one that I have been satisfied with.

Well done....I'm looking forward to getting started in the program in September. Until then, I guess I'll need to change my sig line to read: 0% completed with D.Sc. at Dakota State. :)

You will be surprised how quickly 0% complete will change. :)

I am chomping at the bit to get this thing underway. I was doing a little reading on the preliminary exam. This is from the 2007-2008 graduate bulletin:

If you read on, you'll see that the entire exam takes place over a long weekend. :(

The other interesting thing is the objective for the seminar courses:

The prelim looks like it is going to be fun (said with sarcasm).

I wondered about the seminar course and how that would be done via distance...perhaps video conference and/or Webex/LiveMeeting technology?

The prelim looks scary. And I thought the comprehensive exam for my master's was bad.

I'm not sure how the seminar courses will be conducted. We will soon find out. Are you enrolled in the seminar course for the fall semester?

I wasn't planning on taking the seminar course in the fall. I figured I'd get the Intro to Research course (INFS 614) out of the way first along with System Analysis course (INFS 720).

I'm now curious as to how the seminar will work and may enroll...its a 1 hour course so it won't break the bank and seems interesting.

    More from the graduate bulletin:

How bad can it be? Wait, don't answer that just yet.

If you decide to enroll, then I'll 'see' you in class.
