    Hello everyone...

been a while for me but I wanted to stop in and let everyone know how things are going at Dakota State (DSU).

I’ve just submitted my last requirement for my last class in the Spring 2009 semester. Whew. I’m now 43% complete with the doctoral work…should be done with coursework around this time next year.

    Current Status (May 2009)

    • 39 hours complete
    • 52 remaining (27 hours coursework, 25 hours dissertation)
    • 43% complete.
    • Coursework completion ~ mid-2010
    • Dissertation completion ~2012.
I’m taking another six hours this summer…might be a beating but we’ll see. The courses are:

    • INFS 750 - Telecommunications Technology & Management - Starting May 18
    • INFS 892 - Advanced Design Science Research Methods - Starting May 18
The program is excellent and challenging. Exactly what I hoped.

    Hi Eric,

I'm glad to hear that you're coming along well. I'm the one who emailed you. I really wanted to call you this past Wednesday to chat, but I've been slammed at work. Hopefully we can chat next week.

FYI...I am working on my plan of study as we speak. The main reason that I wanted to speak with you is to get a better feeling of how much time each class takes. That will help me get a better handle on how many classes I can take each semester.

    Regards,

Eric, Congrats on your progress. I am considering going to DSU for my D.Sc also. It would be very helpful if you could tell me how many hours a week you usually set aside for school. With four kids I have to account for every hour in a day. Any additional information you provide would be very helpful.

    Thanks

    Congratulations!

    Excellent to hear!

In looking through your webpage, I noticed your educational lineage. How many hours were you able to transfer in to the D.Sc program?

I noticed DSU states that 'courses are offered using a variety of instructional delivery methods including' face-to-face, video conferencing, etc. I was wondering if there were any 'on campus' requirements for you yet.

    Thanks and good luck finishing!
