Middle Georgia State University will be offering a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in Public Safety starting Spring 2024.

I'm not sure if the tuition will be $301 (Graduate online tuition rate). If so, it would cost approximately 17k for the program.

They are hiring an assistant/associate professor who will serve as program director.

Interesting choice of the DSc. I assume they didn't want to do PhD because it's practitioner-based research. Are you going to apply as Program Director? You'd be a shoe-in with your LE background, PhD and the rest of your CV.

I wondered too. But I noticed that their other doctorate (IT) is a D.Sc. as well.

I would only apply if they would let me work from Kenya :D

But no, I don't think anyone can offer me anything better than a tenure-track position at an R2 institution, working fully remotely.
