I decided not to take the GRE since I'm choosing TESC but I'd like to take a bunch of exams in all the social sciences (upper level) Psych, History, Soc... Only thing the exams have recommendations for textbookS. I can't afford to but a bunch of textbooks for each exam. I read a few places that "Cracking the GRE Psychology can be a good prep for OTHER Psychology exams. Anyone have any thoughts on this from experience???- ID LOVE to kill a few birds with one stone if possible. Maybe if I learn everything in that one textbook it can help me pass the other psych tests. Exams I have my eye on: Research Methods in Psych (though I never had statistics yet but I did good in college math) Psych of Personality Social Psych Abmormal Psych Psych of Adulthood and Aging Death and Dying-Thanatology or any other upper level psych, soc or history i can get my hands on...
I don't think I would rely solely on the "Cracking the GRE Psychology" book, although it makes a good primer for those subjects. My advice, look for older used textbooks and/or Cliff's Quickreview type books on Amazon or a similar site. I was able to find an old book in pretty much any subject I want for about $5 or $6. Good luck, Tony
