Since I posted this morning , I thought about this question all day.

Obviously, there is a higher level of rigor in traditional doctoral programs. The range of credits required are even wide and varied. I would expect and accept discrimination to some degree towards degrees that appear to be less rigorous than others.

I make no bones about the fact that Touro seemed to be the least rigorous doctoral program of all of the RA DL programs I looked at. I expect that if I am going up against a PhD from another school, that their degree will be more heavily weighted, depending on the nature of the job. I do not realistically expect to be awarded a fellowship at a prestegious university or institution.

I do, however, think that these less rigorous programs should represent achievement beyond the MBA level. If I am competing against an MBA, and I have a degree from Touro, I would expect to get the job.

Let's say I am up against a candidate from on the RA DL doctoral school. My expectation would be that our dissertations, as well as well our previous educational and proessional experience will make the difference. But, I would think that we would be seen as two candidates with doctoral level educations.

Am I far off the mark?
