Sorry, but to me this is a perfect example of how the nebulous specter of terrorism leads people to look for saviors in all the wrong places.

Their website says "Internationally Accredited Degrees"

    It also states:
"Accreditation: Internationally accredited as of July 9, 2012. We have international students and our accreditation is in the United Kingdom. We will be applying for USA accreditation in the future."

I was at AUVSI and they had a booth there. That really is a picture of the Utah governor with Dr. LeMieux at AUVSI on their website.

One site (Ignite Education: A Look at Unmanned Vehicle University) claimed they are accredited with the International Association for Distance Learning. They are on Wikipedia's list of "unrecognized accreditation organizations", but do not seem to be on any of the scam lists. So unrecognized, but not a complete scam either.

Unmanned Vehicle University is pursuing accreditation in the State of Arizona and certification from the Veteran's Administration. The first is required for recognition by US DOE, student grants, aid, etc. and both are required before the VA will pay for veterans to take courses there. If they have just started the process it will take at least two years before they can become fully accredited and recognized in the US though certification by the VA could come sooner as long as their accreditation is in process.

The qualifications of the instructors are listed on the site so you can judge for yourselves if they are qualified to teach. They are graduating students that will work in the civilian unmanned vehicle industry, so they are focused on application and not on research or theory.

This is an online University, so the "campuses" are not physical locations, but people assigned to a particular region. The only physical campus appears to be in Lake Havasu, AZ (they were previously located in Washington State but moved).

I made it to the same convention.

IADL is what they are claiming for accreditation. I confirmed this with Dr Lemeiux via e-mail in August. He also made certain to point out that I should enroll now before rates go up to offset accreditation costs. I immediately lost interest in UVU at that point.
