As I understand it, John Grisham has donated 5 million dollars to the katrina relief fund. If I have donated one thousand am I just "trying to appear generous?" What do you imagine my motivation to be? First you say that there are no rules and then you impose rules.

HAYDEN: Cheap shots should not be taken and best I can tell haven't been taken.

SIMON: The "best I can tell"! Well my friend you can't "tell" very well.

You took extremely vehement cheap shots at a school that took constructive pro-active steps to assist others in need during a national crisis. It does'nt matter whether they offered a 50, 20 or 1 percent tuition reduction. What they did was extremely positive but you turned this positivity into something that is questionable and insufficient. Even during a crisis when many people's lives have been ravaged by this trajedy you can't cease your Don Quixote modus operandi pattern of attacks against windmills.

HAYDEN: At the same time when I see some entities being generous when others seem to be trying to appear generous it certainly makes me wonder exactly what their motivation is.

SIMON: The above statement says it all! This mind-set of perpetually perceiving conspiracys and ulterior motives everywhere does not reflect negatively on NCU but on you know who!

HAYDEN: Others are free to believe what they want. If that is bothersome to some that is their issue.

SIMON: "Believe what they want"! Are you kidding or just out of touch! My friend, thousands of people have died, been displaced and are suffering immeasurably from this trajedy and all you have contributed is a vicious and undercutting series of postings about the demonstration of good faith by NCU while you passively sit at your computer screen conjuring up all sorts of conspiratorial schemes. Pathetic!

The issue does not revolve around NCU but on your mean spiritedness and conspiratorial oriented mind-set (ie, "At the same time when I see some entities being generous when others that has led to ydeed!

I believe all of these offers come from a general understanding that people just want to help anyway they can. By offering a free or reduced education for a period of time an institutution, as well as a community, and better yet a bunch of folks are giving something to those who have lost.

In a crisis, solutions can be simple and heartfelt.
