Has anyoone tried to transfer a CLEP or ECE exam to Athabasca University? The College Board website says Athabasca accepts CLEP exams but I can't find anything about it on Athabasca's site. I need 12 credits to graduate and a recent move has made finding an invigilator for the Athabasca exams a problem, so if I could travel to a CLEP or ECE test center and do four exams in two days that would be great.
I called Athabasca and they said they do accept CLEP but there is no info on which ones are accepted towards which course. I am not sure if Athabasca accepts ECE. If you do find this information pls let us know also. BTW, how did you complete all the other requirements from Athabasca ? did you take the courses from them or did you transfer from other institution? how was your experience with their courses ? are they very difficult or demanding ?
I took the courses from Athabasca, they are for the most part fairly challenging courses. Like any university some courses are easier than others, but in general I think the courses are about as challenging as those you would find at any residential university in Canada. This fall I applied to transfer to several residential unversities and had no problem getting transfer credit for the courses I took at Athabasca.
