The study guide on SpeedyPrep is pretty good. Should be plenty of information for you to pass. Also, the REA guides are good.
What about study guides for Astronomy and Public Speaking? I want to knock those off in the spring... Tnx
I believe the Pass Your Class CLEP guides are the same as those that used to be available on eBay from a seller named Xenia34. If so, they're concise yet complete, and knowing everything in them should be sufficient to do well on the exam. -=Steve=-
I'm also looking for study guides for the CLEP Natural Sciences. Has anyone actually taken this CLEP? I have to score a minimum of 50 to get credit. How difficult is that to accomplish... say after about studying for a month? Thanks!
I took it. It wasn't the easiest one I took, but I'd think a month of study would be enough. I believe the Pass Your Class guides are the same ones that used to be sold on eBay by a seller named Xenia34, if so they're pretty good. -=Steve=-
I have not taken that specific CLEP, but 12 others. Every time I thought the REA books were top notch. I'll be buying the biology one soon.
Unfortunately, REA does not (yet) publish a book for the NS exam.....However there are alternative sources - read on. For most (not all) the NS exam can be a bear because of it's heavy focus on biology. As such, I SUGGEST taking the BIOLOGY CLEP FIRST before sitting the NS exam. I say this as the NS exam is made up of 50% of biology and the balance of chemistry, geology, physics, and astronomy. If you can pass biology first, then the NS exam isn't so bad. I studied for biology for 3 weeks, took the exam and passed. Then I added another 2 weeks of study for the NS exam and passed it too. Here is my list: INSTANTCERT Biology REA Biology Standard Deviants - Biology Welcome to davidandlaurie.com! - NS exam study guide. BTW: InstantCert does have 123 science questions listed in the GED Science section that can be somewhat helpful. Also try the Comex book too.
