CLEP Foreign Language exams: What level of school study would correspond to an "A"?

In order to score an "A" on the CLEP German, Spanish, or French exams (and thereby earn 12 credits at Exclesior College), approximately what level of knowledge would you need to have? Four years of high school (or four semesters of college)? Or more?
