Hi all, I was wondering if any of you have received credit for the Humanities, American Literature and English Literature CLEP exams toward a degree at Excelsior? The nice thing about talking to yourself is that you rarely get an argument. To which degree do you aspire?
I agree Decimon I am pursuing the A.S in Liberal Studies from Excelsior. I am only 9 credits shy of the requirements. Woohoo! Then I am moving on to the B.S in Liberal Studies from Excelsior and then hopefully an M.S in Management from Amberton! I started testing out in July 05 and hope to be complete my Bachelor's by Sept 06. Rhonda
Seems you are well on your way. Just to be sure you know, Excelsior does not accept any of the CLEPs for the basic English requirement. If you haven't seen them, there are two other sites you might want to peruse: www.bain4weeks.com www.degreeforum.com Good luck.
Thanks. I already fullfilled the English Comp requirement through a community college though I am also aware of Lawrie and Josh's websites. They both helped me tremendously in deciding how I was going to earn my degree. I am also planning to attempt some harder CLEP exams to apply toward my Bachelors Degree (at least hard to me). Do you have any experience with CLEP Biology, Humanites, American Lit, or English Lit? I ordered study guides and some supplemental textbooks online, but I want to make sure that will be enough! Rhonda
I haven't that experience. You don't often get a table for two in this joint so maybe someone with that experience will chime in. If not then there's always degreeforum.com to try.
