As part of my job I provide support to in-service K-6 teachers. I am supposed to be a science resource to the teachers; however, I often get called upon to do all sorts of other things. One item that repeatedly comes up is classroom management. One of my colleagues asked me if I knew of any online programs in classroom management. I have spent some of my free time this weekend looking through Ted's great MEd thread at the different programs. She is not looking to get another masters degree; however, she would like something that can be listed on her resume. The courses do need to be RA graduate credit to qualify for teaching license renewal. Schools with online coursework in classroom management: University of Wisconsin - Stout http://www.uwstout.edu/soe/profdev/courses.shtml San Francisco State University http://www.cel.sfsu.edu/education/index.cfm Masters degrees in Classroom Management http://www.unl.edu/barkley/sped/bd/program.shtml Does anyone know of any graduate certificate programs? Schools with masters programs in classroom/behavior management would also work. It doesn't matter if the coursework is general or special ed. Thanks
Peru State College has a 9 Credit Graduate Certificate in Classroom Behavior Management & Achievement. I know the school offers courses at a great price, and is RA. http://www.peru.edu/coa/cbm.htm
