Yeah, I see it now. But the Military Discount is weird. If you have an MBA from another school, now you want to do a Ph.D. in Business Administration. Why do you need an Executive Certificate in Business Administration.

South College DBA is $6k per semester, $5k with military discount. It's CBE so if you complete it in 3 semesters it's $15-18k, 2 semesters $10-12k

They aren't marketed as a "Christian school" but do offer the DMin

Troy University offers a Global Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership at $550.00 per credit x 63 credits, which is $34,650.00. However, there is also a military discount of 50%, including family members. Not 100% sure, but you can check out to see if a 50% discount also applies to the Doctorate program. Then your tuition is reduced to $17,325.00

As I explained a few days ago, there is a general military discount, and there is a more generous doctorate discount for military alumni. Liberty is willing to offer a bigger discount to military students who have already spent money with the university. The executive certificates are recommended for gaining alumni status because they consist of doctoral-level courses that can be transferred into the corresponding doctoral program.

I don't know if OP is a veteran. I just know that he's in public safety, which is why I mentioned the first responder discount.

    • Scholarship can only be used toward one degree at each level (one associate’s, one bachelor’s degree, and one master’s degree).

Apparently the Executive Certificates are 21 credits, can be applied 100% toward the DBA or PhD, and include some military reduction. Seems there's really no harm.

That is true, but not all courses are transferrable. I was interested in a Ph.D in Business Administration with a specialization in Leadership. I looked through two curricula; the admission advisor told me to. Therefore, I decided to stay with the University of the Cumberlands to finish my Ph.D. in Information Technology.

Is the PhD not cutting the grade. Why the change

No, I have all "A's" except 2 "B's"; my current GPA is 3.87. I might have a better competitive advantage with a Ph.D. in Business Administration in Leadership over a Ph.D. in Information Technology. The older I am, the more I feel that seeking Management and Leadership employment is better than focusing on technology. Technology constantly changes, but leadership and management are less likely to change over time. I am continually looking for Senior Management and Executive positions. My MBA would do the trick, but not necessarily a Ph.D. in this area. However, the older I am...I feel that I like to read history about leadership or leader figure biographies.

The executive certificate doesn't have 100% overlap with the PhD, but it has 100% overlap with the DBA.

This is similar to why I chose the PhD in Leadership with an emphasis in Business at UC. I felt it was the best way to leverage my MBA against my professional doctorate.
