It looks like CHEA is now getting involved with ease of transfer credits for all recoginzed accreditation bodies (CHEA and U.S. Dept of Education). This is my communication with the Academic Dean of Columbia Southern University.

Do you foresee the DETC "second class" stigma in academia and transferability ever diminishing? I know there is legislation in the works to stamp out this academic discrimination. The reason I ask, is that I would like the option to teach someday at a local college or university with my CSU degree(s).

[Dr. Joe Manjone] CHEA is trying to change the stigma. Please check http://chea.org/heta/default.asp At this time, there are a number of CSU graduates teaching at community colleges.
