I would urge someone from Charter Oak State College to explain why certification taken from certain institutes are granted credit. If somone is MCSE and MCDBA, what difference does it make if someone has taken certification from certain institue or from anywhere from Prometric. It's mentioned somewhat following: "Connecticut Computer Services, Inc. (Plantsville, Connecticut). The following credit recommendations apply only when individuals complete courses and achieve passing scores on the certification examinations administered at the CCS Plantsville facility.)" Why CCS Inc? Why not any Slyvan Prometric Center? It seems something very illogical.
COSC reviewed the COURSE and the associated exam to determine whether or not to grant credit. MSCE, MCP, CompTIA credit is granted for EXAMS that match the Excelsior reviewed list. I have some certs still waiting to be reviewed, and I am sure that they will be added sometime this year. Patience. Rob Waldo COSC AS 78, BA 79 BS in process.
Steve, At last months COSC workshop cheese was served, the beverage had to be water, soda or coffee since the building is on the Central CT State Un. campus. At least it was a free snack. Rob
Rob, <<I have some certs still waiting to be reviewed, and I am sure that they will be added sometime this year. Patience. >> Do you know what are those that will be added this year? How about Cisco or IBM Certifications? In addition, are they going to add Linux+, IT Project+ or Security+ from Comptia. Thanks.
