    Bill,

Alas, older guy fits me quite well.

PS. Hope you didn't interpret my quip as a slight. I'm truly impressed by all the "stuff" after your name. Me, I'm just plain
Randy; a fold-out business card not required!

    Cheers...Randy

I dont' recall that saying that about transcripts. My problem is I can't get them to answer my emails so I can get my transcritps! I think they want a few bucks for the service, but that seems to be standard. I'll check the fee schedule though.

In all fairness, the lady did get back to me after two weeks of hounding. They even went so far as to auto-bounce my e-mail back to me! I changed my mail account just to gain audience; now that pis#$%ed me off.

    More on that topic later....

I'll give them a .25 on the first one, a full 1 on the second and third, a 0 on the fourth ands a .5 on the last

Score = 2.75/5 on this scale, definitely over half way there!

Given that they supply transcripts (according to OG) and they list accredited faculty, the claim was they do not, the score should be 4, out of 5 for not being a mill, yeh??

But why bother with transcripts from KW anyway? What good are they? You can’t xfer KW credits to another school (unless they are of the same questionable character). The only reason I want my transcript is to prove prior-learning for my PLAR portfolio.

The bottom line RJT, is that your KW credential is an easier, softer way. People choose this route not for academic veracity, but for swiftness of conclusion; the mark of a mill. It’s absurd to claim a quality university education based upon 5 courses and a modest study paper; its nuts. If it were not so, then why am I finding the CLEP CIS practices to be a real challenge? I tell you, I aced almost each KW exam with little or no study. That’s what triggered my red flag – it was just too easy; again, the mark of a mill.

I know, I know; read the lamentations of the struggling KW-pubbers, thrashing about regarding this test or that test, how hard it is -- blah, blah, blah. Good grief RJT, it’s a lark! I know because I did it. Been there, done that. I now have course material from a real University to compare with. There is no comparison JRT. For crying out loud my first assignment for an English 300 class is a 5-7 page composition – and that count’s for a paltry 10% of my final mark. I never even had an assignment from KW; just skim the course book and write the test. Hell, you even bring the textbook with you!

Admittedly, I’m a novice with the whole formal University thing. I say formal University because even though I have thousands and thousands of post-secondary, in-class hours from Military Schools, continuing Ed. classes, Oracle, UNIX, Aviation, and other sources of non-accredited learning, I’ve never acquired a faux-parchment. Sans-degree does not have to mean sans-education as some buffoons have mistakenly surmised of me.

RJT, I’m not trashing you or your school OK? Really, I’m not. But your claims regarding the rigor of KW’s curriculum are not true. Sorry dude, it’s a fantasy. For you, KW is not a mill because you don’t want it to be. Don’t you think it’s time to head back to Kansas Toto?

    Cheers…Randy
