SIMON: We are not even certain that you exist! Are you really a doctoral "learner" (obviously not a student) at Capella? Are you specializing in Psychology? Are you anything more than a braggadocio who is engaging in exhibitionistic antics? Being anonymous and making all sorts of educational and professional claims are meaningless?

Ordinarily, I have always offered to speak with posters on the phone in order to clarify my credentials with posters whom I respect. In this case I wouldn't waste my time. There is nothing in your posts that indicate any substance but just a desire to reinforce your personal beliefs about psychotherapy and I am not interested in attempting to change your mind.

SIMON: My unfortunate troll "friend", YOU started this attack not me. All I am doing is clarifying the obvious to any well trained clinician. It would be helpful if you could gain some insight because in fact you are engaging in bullying behavior by attempting to negate my posts as you are claiming I am doing to others. In the nomenclature this is called "PROJECTION!

Perhaps you might present yourself better as a psych student if you were more Horneyan and less Freudian and said Simon is justifiably envious because of your credentials, achievements, and accomplishments which give you power he doesn't have.

Although I don't believe any of what I just said is true of Simon! I don't think for one minute he is jealous or envious of you nor do I think he has been anything but totally honest and correct in his postings.

 

The tone, if not the content of this thread has seriously deteriorated and this "discussion" has strayed off-topic, turning into personal attacks. Therefore I am locking this thread.

doctortug: As I said in my pm to you (did you ignore this?) you have made a bad start on this board. You registered just yesterday and virtually all you've done since your arrival is argue (and not that nicely either). Since it seems that you and Simon have similar interests I would recommend that you work harder on sharing this cyber space in a civil manner as I have no intention of spending all my time putting out these little brush fires.
