Your right...way off track. You do not have to take all the classes for a specialization if you do not want to. To have the specialization on your transcript, you need 18 credits in that area. If you wanted to take 6 credits from the management section, 6 from healthcare admin, and 6 from applied computer science you could.

You would have a PhD in Business Admin without a specialization. Does that answer your question?

If you have more questions, PM me or start another thread. I am starting to feel guilty for hi-jacking this one

I checked with CCU and they will only accept a payment plan for their courses (i.e. you cannot pay for one course at a time), even though on their tuition page they list $85/credit hour.

If CCU gave the option to pay for one course at a time OR to utilize a payment plan, that would be fine. However, without the option to pay by the course, this school still sounds like a dyed-in-the-wool mill to me.

I am including an e-mail from a CCU rep, along with my original e-mail to them (I have removed both of our last names for privacy reasons).

    Good Afternoon,
California Coast University offers 3 payment option plans. When
    enrolling
in a degree program, students are required to choose from one of those
    payment options.
I hope this answers your concerns,
    Maria L.
