You could try The Twilight Samurai. You'll be disappointed but that is the point.

    Hello Sir:

I would recommend the following books:

    1. Hagakure The Book of The Samurai
    Author - Yamamoto Tsunetomo

    2. Confucius: The Analects
    Confucius and D.C. Lau (Translator)

    I hope you enjoy these!

I am currently attending Amberton and I am happy so far with the school. The administration is great, quick replies to email and also snail mail. I have had a hard time in a couple of instances when I could not reach the person I wanted to by phone, but that is not too big of a deal. The courses are well thought out, and so far mostly writing intensive. Easy to understand syllabi and course work, with quick replies from faculty on any questions. I am using military TA assistance and they cover all costs, except for books, so it is a great deal. I am working on the M.S in Human Relations and Business.

Ok, I will try to go out there this weekend if I can. If not, it will be next weekend. Worse case scenario, what I may do is take a regular photo, than have a friend scan it and e-mail it.

I will get caught up with all this techno stuff one of these days!

    I will be in touch,

    Abner :)

    Hi Cory:

First of all welcome into the forum. Second, thank you for your comments.

Since you are a student at Amberton, what is the delivery method of the coursework? Is it a printed class agenda where you could also e-mail. Or, do you have to participate in some kind of virtual class at a specified time? Please advise.

    Thanks,

    Abner :)

    Unk:

I would just like to Recommend another book entitled: The Travels of Lao Can, written by Liu E.
    Panda Books

    From the book cover:
Liu E, a brilliant Intellectual born into a scholarly family at the end of the Qing Dynasty. By describing what Lao Can sees and hears on his travels, he witnessed and fiercely attacked the so-called "honest and upright officials" as hypocrites who tried to rise to power at the expense of the people.

This little book remains one of my favorites. I think you will also enjoy it.

    Take care,

    Abner :)

Wow. Thanks, Sensei. This is creepy. The kid at the circ desk at St Joseph's College was reading the Lao Can book when I was there tonight. If I weren't Adlerian I'd think it was synchronicity.

Hi Kirkland, PHD2B and Bruce. Still working on the CCU pix. This weekend was bad because most of my friends went out of town for the long weekend and took their digital cameras with them. I will hopefully get the pix to Bruce within a couple of weeks.

I have been toying with the idea of buying my own digital camera, it would be a nice thing to have for convenience. Probably will go to Best Buy and check them out. But I digress, have a great Labor Day everybody!

Hi Abner, if you're looking at digitals I've found the Nikon Coolpix to be a great value... small, convenient, intuitive menus, useful and sharp lensing, easy interface, relatively inexpensive.

No hurry on the picture. I'm not going anywhere. :) Thanks for remembering my request.

Just a bit of caution...If you decide to buy a digital camera you'll find it hard to go back. :D

I bought my first digital camera in 2002 and upgraded it through Kodak's upgrade program for considerably less money than buying another new one. I absolutely love my digital camera!

Another great investment is a personal photo lab picture printer.

    Re: Re: California Coast University

Thanks for the suggestion. I borrowed my friends digital camera today for now, will go to CCU tomorrow. Will probably e-mail Bruce the pix the middle of next week. the friend who lent us the camera is going to Vegas until Tuesday. When she gets back she will download the pix onto her computer for e-mailing.

Anyway, thanks for the comments, you to PHD2B!

    Have a good weekend!

Gotta go to the Chinese Food Buffet!!!!

    See ya, Abner :)
