According to several news broadcasts tonight, President Bush could receive as much as 18% of the African-American vote in the upcoming election. The stats are 69% for Kerry and 18% for Bush. In 2000, it was 90% Gore and 10% Bush. This will be very interesting to watch. If it pans out this way, Bush is in line to receive the largest black vote for a Republican presidential candidate in decades.
