I have for a while been thinking about studying the BSc in Politics and International Relations at London School of Economics. I hopefully complete my MBA at Edinburgh Business School this summer, and already hold a GDipBA from Copenhagen Business School. Would it be absolutely - far out - to study a BSc, when one (soon and hopefully) holds a MBA? I would mostly do it because I'm interested in this field of study, and not because I think that it would contribute so much to my career. Has anybody else on this forum done their degrees in this, a bit “strange” way?
Have you considered some type of post graduate certificate or diploma in International Relations instead?
Hi Iquagmire I have been thinking about it, but LSE doesn't accept students for their Diplomas, who don’t have a Bachelor degree - which I don't. I would like to be able to add LSE on my resume, or a school of the same high standard.
Hafnia, Since you don't yet have a Bachelors it might be a very good idea to go for the Bachelor's degree offered by LSE. It will definitely be to your long-term benefit to have a Bachelors as it opens many more doors; especially if that degree comes from LSE. International Relations is a fascinating area of study and it is one of my goals once I graduate to do some post-graduate study in a related area.
I say go for it as well. I assumed that you already had a bachelors because of your MBA but forgot that Heriot-Watt allows students to complete an MBA without have a bachelors first. Good Luck!
