have lived in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, longer than I have lived anywhere. I really like it here for countless reasons. As a Science Fiction afflicted Christian, this article about an organized book burning has me very concerned. I'm not surprised. I guess this is the obvious follow-up to all of the fake consternation over 'Critical Race Theory.' What's next?

The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office and fire department will maintain a presence at the next School Board meeting as a response to a book burning event scheduled by a local Facebook"

A friend from high school who works for the school system there spoke at a school board meeting and lambasted them.

Good! I no not care about the content, something is terribly wrong when part of a community thinks it's a good thing to start burning books. As I read this the plan is/was for children to check-out, from the library, the offensive books, then deliver them to parents to be ceremonially burned. So very frightening.

So true! Book burring in history is never followed by anything good.
