The Saint Regis group used to collaborate with Abul Kalaam Azad, who ran various Indian instantiations of SRU. One was originally called SRU-India, then renamed the "Bangalore Insitute of Science, Technology, and Management" (BISTM). Perhaps there has been a falling-out between the operators of SRU and Azad: his SRU-India ventures are not advertised on the SRU group web pages very much anymore.

The evolution of Azad's BISTM is amusing. The site www.bangaloreinstitute.org named its registrant as Dixie Randock until recently, but it is now registered to Abul Kalaam Azad. On that site BISTM still describes itself as "a Division of SRU India Educational Trust" in spite of whatever conflict might have arisen between SRU-USA and Azad.

The BISTM page http://www.bangaloreinstitute.org/instcert.htm refers to a different domain in describing "instant certificates" that are available: http://bimsr.org. A visit there shows it is the site for the "Bangalore Institute of Medical Sciences and Research." This site is also registered to Azad. It provides a variety of degrees in alternative mediciine, including "M.D. (A.M.)," as well as degrees in "Allied Medical Programs." It says it is affiliated with the "Open International University for Complimentary Medicines" which has a variety of unflattering things written about it invarious web pages.

Oh my, this is not a good way for people to earn their livings.

Bangalore is the "happening" place. Its the IT/BPO capital of India and home of several large IT companies like Wipro, Infosys etc.
I was in Bangalore for over a month last year. The company whom we outsource had 100's of job opportunities.

    nope, different guy

The BISTM Azad is a different guy, whose brilliance drove him to write "a Bluetooth Solution 'Automatic Refrigerator using Wireless Technology' "( previously available from Saint Regis for $10). Perhaps a victim of the elsewhere described outbreak of SRU professor head transplants, Azad's ears seem to have been mauled by injudicious application of a PhotoShop scalpel.
