BACS from TESU then MSDS from UT

I was curious if a GRE is necessary or helps to secure placement at a top-tier public university, such as UT or Georgia Tech. Those are both top of my list.

Also, am I reading correctly that you can start the ASU master's program immediately? One drawback to UT and Georgia Tech is the waiting period to get accepted and started, which looks to be as much as 6-7 months. I was curious if it would be possible to start classes at ASU while waiting for an acceptance from one of the others, then transfer over completed credits.

I wanted to keep my education rolling along, and 6-7 months is quite a delay.
