Aspen adds discussion board to independent classes

    Just an FYI:

    Aspen has added a course discussion thread to each independent course and students must participate once a week.

    This takes effect November 16th. If you are mid-course, you're encouraged to participate but it is mandatory for classes you begin after 11/16. Students will receive points for participating and lose points if they do not.

    Not sure if the interactive students got the email so I'm just posting an FYI post here.

    Yes, I got the email. I am in between classes right now, taking a break. I wonder if you have to sign in at a certain time and day?

    It sound like they are getting ready to offer Financial Aid!

    I don't know about that, but the idea of Post & comment to others thoughts for an "independant course" is no different then what is done in many Interactive courses at many schools.

    The interface could use a facelift tho!
