Nova Southeastern just (2 -3 months ago) began offering a Security concentration in systems security. I feel they have done a nice job. I would like to know if anyone on the board is currently taking classes at Nova in this program? This is program is looking stronger all the time. It will be interesting to see what Capitol does for their program. I am also trying receive, in writing an agreement to receive their MS should I go ABD and never finish (hey, it happens). I know they offer an early entry program from the MS. PHD CIS / Security http://www.scis.nova.edu/Doctoral/Director/misc/SpecnInfoSecDISS.pdf PHD IS / Security http://www.scis.nova.edu/Doctoral/Director/misc/SpecnInfoSecDCIS.pdf Another older site of a former student. http://www.scisstudyguides.addr.com/
I had first noticed this new program a couple of days before you started this thread. It definitely looks interesting. However, for me the downside is the probable expectation that a student in the program have a dissertation topic that is related to information security. So, I think I'm stil more interested in the unadorned CS or CIS programs.
