Hi all - I've made a decision on my graduate work. . .partially based on the great discussions here. I thank you in advance for all of the help. I think I read every post on NCU and it seems like the best fit for me. Are there any current Northcentral University Psychology students that could share their overall experience with me (hours spent each week on class, how many classes you take at a time, professional plans post graduation)? I'd greatly appreciate it. Take care - Allison
NCU Allison: I"m just in the begining process of getting on board at NCU(start date in the next month or so). If you have not started yet, I will keep you posted about my experience. So far everyone has been very helpful and nice. If you have started, what are your initial impressions. Take Care Tim
So far, so good. . . the interaction with my instructor has been limited, but I actually don't mind that; I prefer self-directed learning. I really enjoy the material and the workload is fair. I think you'll enjoy it! Allison
Nice: Which concentration in psyc did you pick. I am putting together a nice combo in health and counseling myself. I work in a highschool, as a behavior tech, specializing with ebd adolescents. How many classes are you currently taking. Take Care Tim
One class. . . Hi Tim - I'm only taking one to start and am in the general psych program. There's a really helpful Yahoo group for Psych graduate students; it's very active and I've learned much from the other members. I highly recommend joining it. Take care - Allison
Allison: Thanks I will check it out. Looks like I will be starting in either May or June after my transcripts arrive. have a great day Tim
