Just wanted to know if anyone is aware of any literature they would recommend concerning writing a dissertation from proposal to end? I would like to get a jump-start on the process.
I purchased the books titled "Writing the Doctoral DIssertation" and "Writing Your Dissertation in Fifteen Minutes a Day". I have no idea if these are the "best" books out there, but I was able to get them both for ~$20 total and they appear to be a pretty good place to start. If the searach function is working Do a search, I posted the books I bought and my review. Most were small, an hour's read, but VERY helpful. About 2 years ago I posted it, and a few times I posted the updated info. I don't have them handy, or I would give you the info on them.
Based on Han's comment, I did some searching and found this thread regarding Dissertation Books. http://www.degreeinfo.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6435
Ther is also: How to get a PhD: a handbook for students and their supervisors by Estelle Phillips and Derek Pugh I found it was a good insight into the structure and process of doing a British research doctorate.
Thanks very much for the information. Now I feel that I have an "educated" place to begin. I appreciate all of the assistance. Kevin
