This is, perhaps, playing upon the legitimate Bond University of Australia. Or am I giving them too much credit?

Probably too much credit because the President goes by the name of "Burke Bond."

I see they have a link to their "accreditor" (http://www.afodl.com/), and that Seattle Pacific University is listed as accredited by this "accreditor". Something tells me that the Seattle Pacific that the afodl mentions is different from this Seattle Pacific (http://www.spu.edu/), which is RA.

I guess I got it wrong. The afodl does list many RA schools, but such schools don't mention it. Could it be that the afodl is a fraud that uses the names of many good RA schools without them knowing?
    It seems quite possible. Yikes!

It could indeed. Bond College, AFODL, and the equally worthless Chase University are all creations of one Doug Bond. Mr. Bond previously gave us Athens-Clarke University, since defunct.

Actually, if you do a whois, the accrediting agency website is owned by the same person as the owner of the university.

Thats a little too obvious, at least they could use an employee name if they have employees.

now why do people actually do this? It seem too easy to spot to me.

St. Regis does something very similar, yet you apparently are not able to spot it. Why is that?
