I haven't posted an update on
    Western Governors University
    in a while.Here goes:

The mentorship portion is kind of
a pain, but does help you keep
    up to date.

The Financial Aid office is very,
    very slow.

I should have approx. 30 credits
towards my degree by the end
of this term.A great thing about WGU
is you move forward at your own pace.
I had planned completion in 2 years,
but had to cut that back signifiantly
    due to outside interests(read:WORK)

Any other ? let me know.

    Any updates on this?

Looks like work maybe paying for school.... **a year later... lol**

Anyway, still looking at wgu. but I'd like a lil more feedback on overall vibe.

    Great School...Try it!

My name is Jacob Metro. I am a graduate from the WGU bachelor of science and master of business administration programs. I am NOT employed by the college and do not earn anything from giving glowing recommendations.

The competancy model is not to be considered as being easy. You don't have much help from instructors and are essentially given a list of stuff to know, a list of books from which the assessments are derived, and told to go at it. I got both degrees done in substantially under the normal time but that was because I did nothing but work, eat, sleep, and study for three years (both bachelors and masters). I also brought in an associate degree which cut my time to bachelor in half.

If you don't love studying by yourself, this program won't be of much use to you. They do have online courses you can take to augment your knowledge-level in a given field.
