An ABA Law School That Isn't RA?

    OK. There used to be a similar situation with ABET and engineering programs. ABET normally accredited the BS engineering degree, but there were two military schools -- the Air Force Institute of Technology and the Naval Postgraduate School -- that offered MS engineering degrees only. So in those cases, ABET accredited the MS.

    ABET has since become more flexible about accrediting MS programs, though the vast majority of accredited programs are still at the bachelor's level.

    This fits in nicely with the idea that accreditation does not bestow academic legitimacy, it simply recognizes it where it already exists.
